Tilt Workshops - Increase Self-Awareness with an agile mindset

Frequently Asked Questions

The purpose of this workshop is to help people recognize their own patterns of action and reaction, the reasons for them, and how these patterns may impact their lives and work. It goes further than most styles or personality workshops by helping participants find practical ways to strengthen any of the Tilt patterns within themselves - or to “Tilt” to context intentionally.

This is a more nuanced way of thinking about identity. The focus is on self-leadership and how building internal strength in identity can help build strong external presence.

This workshop is the first in a series of three workshops designed for intact teams, cross-functional teams or matrixed teams that depend on one another to achieve mutually beneficial goals. It can also be integrated into leadership or people development programs with people from different teams.

This workshop is effective at any of the stages of team development but is particularly valuable during times of transition, when people need to learn how to build inner strength in a world that is constantly changing. It is also helpful during the Forming stage of team development because it helps teams to get to know one another and build trust with one another.

The assessment that goes with this workshop is the True Tilt Profile. It is a self-assessment that is designed to increase self-awareness about our natural character strengths and how a specific path of development can result in stronger internal agility and the experience of happiness in life and work.

The Tilt Presence workshop is an efficient and fun way to start developing stronger internal character, which has a significant impact on business performance and personal happiness. Teams who complete and follow through with what they learn in this workshop focus more on what’s important and less on conflict, drama, and politics. This workshop makes the development of agility actionable and practical with a process and steps that help leaders and their teams build strong internal presence and the agility necessary to thrive in today’s competitive environment. The playful experiences built into the workshop help people accept themselves, which increases openness to learning.

Frequently Asked Questions

The purpose of this workshop is to help participants recognize what drives our interactions with others and develop strategies for working with colleagues more productively and with less conflict. It goes further than most styles or personality workshops by helping participants understand the fears that lurk in our most primitive “lizard-brains,” how this influences our interactions, and how we can be agile in our responses to others. The goal is to make small changes in unconscious habits, thereby developing the traits that increase our agility and positive influence.

This workshop is the second in a series of three workshops designed for intact teams, cross-functional teams or matrixed teams that depend on one another to achieve mutually beneficial goals. It can also be integrated into leadership or people development programs with individual contributors or people from different teams.

This workshop is designed as a follow-on to the Tilt Presence workshop but can stand alone in some cases if a team is in a storming stage of team development or experiencing acute interaction problems among team members.

This workshop is designed to make use of the Tilt 365 Positive Influence Predictor assessment, providing rich feedback about the root cause of conflict and counterproductive interaction. Each participant will collect feedback from a specific set of key stakeholders to surface unconscious habits that may be triggering others. Being transparent about development helps put everyone on a level playing field and allays fears. Everyone leaves with ONE habit to change and a spotter to help keep them on track.

This workshop helps teams build trust and understand how to resolve conflict quickly, so everyone can get back to being productive and agile. It takes a deeper dive into the Tilt Framework and concepts, including Transactional Analysis, the science that will help your team understand why conflict happens and what to do about it. This workshop is particularly helpful during the storming phase of a team’s development. It can also help calm fears when teams are in transition and reacting from stress.

Frequently Asked Questions

The purpose of this workshop is to help intact, cross-functional, or matrixed teams use a selected Tilt pattern of team Agility to develop more effective and productive ways of working together toward a goal. The team learns how to evaluate their current norms, including what’s working and not working for them, and how to coach themselves, as a team, back to Agility. Teams also build a plan for their development opportunities to strengthen their agilities and achieve ongoing, dynamic results.

This workshop is the third in a series of three workshops designed for intact teams, cross-functional teams or matrixed teams that depend on one another to achieve mutually beneficial goals. However, it can also be the first workshop conducted with an intact team that is planning to go through rapid transition, begin a new initiative or focus on a specific outcome.

We have a suite of team assessments that can be deployed with intact teams to analyze their team climate (Tilt Team Climate Profile) and team agility (Tilt 365 Team Agility Predictor). A before and after survey is used to assess changes in the team’s potential (Team Potential Indicator). Your Tilt 365 Master Team Consultant will work with the team leader or sponsor to determine the appropriate tools and experiences to help your team best achieve the results they need.

This workshop is designed for intact or matrixed teams who have important objectives, initiatives or performance that must be achieved in the next 6 months to a year. Your Tilt 365 consultant will work with the team leader to clarify goals, discuss team interaction issues and use the holistic Tilt framework (based on the agile method) to ensure that the vision, metrics, plan and key stakeholder feedback loops are in place to ensure success on key objectives. We will use the assessment results and live experiences to surface hidden or unconscious habits that are keeping the team in status quo or stress. Once isolated, the team will agree to specific new habits that ensure success in one of four specific outcomes (collaboration, alignment, innovation or execution) that will be chosen by the team leader, coach, and team for the next sprint period. The leader and team will leave with a clear plan and exciting new commitments to spur the team into action.
